Liverpool Students Teach Threes a Lesson

Warrington’s third string had no answer to the pace and enthusiasm of a Liverpool Vetinarians side which is currently in third place in Sale Sharks Division 2, managing only one try to their opponents’ seven.

The students soon showed off their superior fitness by completely controlling the breakdowns and Warrington infringements allowed Liverpool to run the ball at will. It wasn’t long before the tries started to be scored, with lax Warrington tackling adding further to their woes.

It was not until the closing five minutes that Warrington, with Martin Tierney to the fore, started to seriously compete and their endeavor and grit eventually brought them a well-deserved push-over try, which was shared by the whole pack.
