Teamwork wins the day

A short trip to sunny Sefton sees a repeat of last season's semi final, although it would be a trip into the unknown depending what playing staff they had available.
Sefton get us under way and pressure from the big pack and hands along the line see a try in the corner for the home side.missed conversion.
Warrington begin to get a foothold in the game and this time pressure on the kicker from Scott forces a charge down and a try.
Missed conversion.
With Warrington now pressing a couple of chances go begging with the final pass going into touch, until a call from JP to Eddie for a cross field kick to the corner sees a pinpoint kick and JP scores. Missed conversion .Another score follows soon after as Ollie makes up for not passing to his winger on a previous attack, to dummy and force his way over. Missed conversion.
Halftime 5-15
With the words "be patient"ringing in their ears the second half gets under way and it seems to have worked, the introduction of Beeley and Archie Kellet see the 2 subs combine, Beeley putting a nice grubber kick through for Archie to race onto to score. at last we have a conversion. As Sefton are forced to take risks to get back into the game Luke reads a pass and intercepts, 12 months ago he would have been hoping for Roma to race alongside to finish off but the new slimline Luke races away 80 metres to score.run forrest run.conversion successful.
Again the pressure is on Sefton to score next a mistake and a loose ball and Roma is on it like a flash racing 90 metres to score. Conversion successful.
Sefton have the last say of the day as a succession of pick and drive and they score.missed conversion.
Final score 15-36
By all means it was not the perfect performance, too many penalties given away, the scrum struggled under pressure from the big Sefton pack, although the front row were excellent in the loose with Andy Kellet and Matt Bullock outstanding.
On the plus side the 1 on 1 tackling was excellent with very few tackles missed and although some chances were missed with the final pass going into touch we must remember it was only game 2.
MOM Josh Fowler
It's not about revenge or winning every game at all costs, yes it's nice to win, it's about playing the game with mates, laughing with friends, parents, coaches,it's about making friends and memories, being together from under 7s to openage or anywhere inbetween.
Today's win was about togetherness and teamwork. Lads that have and will play together for this season and many more to come. They Don't need the superstar to come in for a big game then disappear until the next big game. This team is a team and that will take them a long long way.
