Well, not quite but our "take them as they come" 17 faced an equally / slightly more depleted Macclesfield side on a day that was wet underfoot but otherwise not bad for rugby. Warrington played well going forward, with the forwards offloading well, but were let down on a number of occasions by poor handling. In defence we are still too quiet, and need to both think more about how many we commit to the ruck and what we are trying to achieve when we get there. On the other hand, the defence held for most of the day and both Mark and Rahul put in good tackles on Macc's very handy outside centre. All in all then, another decent performance all round and a rare opportunity for the entire back line to play a game unchanged! Thanks to Macc who were great hosts as ever.
Next week we will be welcoming Lymm to Warrington Sports Club and hopefully able to select from a close to full squad (although last I heard some of the D of E contingent were lost, so we probably ought not to count our chickens....).
