In a break from the cup, Warrington Rugby Union u15's got the bus to Yorkshire to take on Huddersfield at their picturesque ground. The visiting Warrington team started well retaining possession in the oppositions half, eventually an attacking scrum allowed the backs to execute a set piece play with Ty Swinton going in, in the corner. Swinton then became provider, catching a kick before sprinting away from the cover defence to put Paddy Shephard over. The forwards then put their set-piece play into action with Archie Turriff sending captain, McKenzie Morris on a barnstorming run to score. Huddersfield then starting really putting on the pressure, driving around the ruck and pushing the Wire into their own 22. Eventually Harry Bethall-Wallkington was able to jackal the ball, and prop, Fin Hill's quick thinking saw space on the blind side and sent Swinton on a mazy run, beating several players on a 75 yard sprint to the line for a 0-20 halftime scoreline.

The second half saw Huddersfield re-galvanise and hit back with two fine tries of their own, one splitting through the backs and the next from their goto pick and drive. Warrington re-gathered their composure staying with pattern for multiple phases, eventually Freddie Hartill stepping through several defenders to put Sam Laird over in the corner and the contest beyond reach.

Warrington team manager, Mark Shephard was happy with where the team are at. "It's great that the lads hard work in attack is paying off, especially in the set piece. Our defence started well but the lads went into cruise control in the second half and had to rediscover their intensity to stop a late onslaught. So in summary, good, but we'll need to defend better than that in Sunday's quarter final."
