Warrington u15 71 – 12 Bowdon u15

A bit of a mismatch in many ways against a spirited Bowdon side that kept working and defending hard throughout the game. With Warrington themselves missing players, Keane, George Kelly, Ty, Scott, Jedeon and Ollie and with Fraser leaving the field in the opening 5 minutes the home team took some time to click. The power of the pack and quick ruck-speed kept the team moving forward and the tries coming with a nice move in the backs opening the scoring with Mikey Craven going over. Tries from Andrew, Archie and 2 from Sam followed before half time.

The halftime call to keep standards high wasn't adhered to when the Bowdon centre who had been a threat in attack intercepted a ball to score under the posts. Great to have Logan Cherrett and Dylan Bradley back in the side and both impressing. Warrington wrestled the ball back and it was Dylan whose hard work was rewarded with a try. Warrington then went back to structure and played some fantastic, connected rugby. Scoring 3 tries from 3 kick offs, each going through multiple phases and using the ball well on the edges after some great go forward from the middles. Fred scored with Andrew and Mikey both bagging their 2nd. Bowdon's effort was rewarded with a hard earned try of their own before George Welsh rounded off the scoring for the home side.

A good game and a lesson to Warrington: 'Don't get bored of doing the right things.'
