It is with great sadness that we remember one of our own, Alan McNeil, who passed away suddenly this week. An age group coach at the club and huge rugby fan, he is fondly remembered by so many of us at Warrington RUFC. Those he coached remember him vividly for his enthusiasm, encouragement on and off the pitch and inspiring team talks! He coached through the junior levels with his son Cameron playing at Warrington, many of whom now play in the Senior team.
An avid supporter of the senior's section too, Alan also contributed significantly to the social side of our club, whether that is watching the First XV or in the clubhouse as a vociferous supporter of his beloved Scotland and the Lions. We will dearly miss Alan's sense of humour and generosity, especially with his time; he really was one of life's true gentlemen. At this time, we offer our sincere condolences to Carole and family, and our thoughts are with you all.
As a mark of respect the senior 1st and 2nd teams observed a minutes silence before both their fixtures yesterday 16th October 2021
