

A good performance from a committed Warrington third string saw them achieve an excellent win over a strong Burnage side who currently lie in third position in Division 3 South.
The visitors dominated the opening minutes of the game and took an early 7-0 lead, after a lucky break-away try. Warrington soon hit back when Danny Newens slipped through a gap and outpaced the cover to touch down. Shaun McDermott converted. Danny Newens was the creative force behind Warrington’s second try when he put in a clever kick-ahead for Rhian Mullen and the pacey centre finished off in style. Shaun McDermott again converted.
Warrington further increased their lead with a signature wrecking ball try from Tony Fretwell, only for Burnage to reply with a converted try on the stroke of half time.
The second half saw Warrington stride to victory without reply from the opposition with a second try from Rhian Mullen, an excellent individual effort from Marek Kobus and a conversion and penalty from the trusty boot of Shaun McDermott.
