The decision was made to play the opening match and then see how the boys felt, so Skipton were first up.

The Warrington lads adapted best to the terrible conditions and the pace and balance of Ben was too much for Skipton and he was rewarded with an impressive hat-trick. The Wire defence was on top form and held an decent Skipton team to a single try.

Given the conditions it was an impressive performance, and in normal circumstances a good start, however after the match the lads decided they were too west and cold to continue in the tournament, and so we all headed for home. Hopefully we'll have better weather at the upcoming tournaments.
