Lymm battled hard, with their pack particularly impressive, and were rewarded with four tries of their own, including a well-worked team move on the final whistle.

“We train to play free-flowing, heads-up rugby and place a big emphasis on skill level,” Warrington coach Phil Sutcliffe said.
“Losing our Sale halfback, Matty Hope and our talisman prop Riley Surplice through injury so late was a blow, but I was pleased that we were able to use the ball how we did with Jack Whittaker having a stormer playing out of position.
“The performances are building nicely though we still need to go through a few more gears if we're to repeat our previous success come the end of the season.
“Whilst always fiercely competitive, we have a great relationship with Lymm – most of the lads are friends off the field and we look forward to future encounters in league and cup."
