Welcome to Warrington U7s rugby for the 2023/24 season. U7s represents the first time players enjoy fixtures of tag rugby against other clubs in Cheshire and Lancashire. We kick off our first fixture on Sunday 24th September 2023 away at Sedgley Park. With a very strong coaching set up we look forward to welcoming any boys and girls who are in academic year 2 at Primary School who want to give rugby a try. The game format is tag rugby so non-contact (i.e. no tackling) and all about learning rugby in a more structured, game environment. Alongside this there is lots of team-work, lots of running around and more than anything having FUN!

Training/ matches usually start at 10.00am and 11:30, the team is based at Grappenhall Sports Club on Stockton Lane. Players should wear suitable kit with boots and then warmer clothing further into Autumn/Winter) TheU7s have a full kit which is sponsored and used by all players during the season for matchdays.

On most Sundays at home there are breakfast butties, teas/coffees etc for sale and the clubhouse is open by the time rugby finishes. On Sundays when the team play matches, post-match food is provided in the clubhouse for the players and is a great time for team bonding over their hotdogs/chips.

As coaches we aim to make the rugby experience as much fun and as inspiring as we possibly can for every child and to give them the best start in their rugby careers. We are all DBS cleared and at varying stages of our coaching qualifications.
